Here’s what’s happening in our Village!

Cockburnspath Community Cafe

The Community Cafe is open every Tuesday in the Village Hall from 11-2pm.

The cafe is going from strength to strength, and we’d like to thank all our lovely customers and amazing volunteers, without whom this would not be possible

We are always looking for new Volunteers, either helping in the cafe, in the kitchen, or with the baking.

If anyone is interested in giving as much or as little time as they want, please speak to Sally in the Cafe.

Craft Club

Cockburnspath Book Group

We meet in The Village Hall on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:30pm.

New members always welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits available.

There is no pressure to read every book selected and some members choose to listen via audiobook.

Titles we have recently read include:

The Women by Kristin Hannah

The Greatest Knight by Elizabeth Chadwick

The Fair Botanist by Sara Sheridan

Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell

Hamnet inspired us to go to see a live stream of William Shakspeare’s Hamlet at The Maltings in Berwick, which was a very enjoyable outing.

Our book selection is usually taken from a list compiled using online and personal recommendations from the group members.

If would like to know more just pop along to the next session (dates and book of the month are posted on the notice board in the village hall).

We look forward to seeing you there!
