Cockburnspath Playpark & Football Fields

A wonderful place for children to play, families to gather and our community to enjoy the outdoors.

Our Playpark

Located opposite Cockburnspath Primary School & Nursery, our wonderful village playpark opened in September 2025, thanks to funding from Foundation Scotland.

The playpark has quickly become a much-loved part of village life, providing a fantastic space for children to play, explore and enjoy time outdoors. It is especially popular with local families, with children regularly visiting after school, while the school and nursery also make use of the facilities during their visits and activities.

Whether it’s a quick play after school, a family outing or a chance to meet friends, the playpark is a welcoming space for children to have fun and make memories.

Our Football Fields

Situated beside Cockburnspath Village Hall, our football fields are another important community space, enjoyed by people of all ages.

The fields are regularly used by local children for football and outdoor play, as well as providing a venue for walking football and other community activities. They also play a central role in some of our much-loved village events, including the Cockburnspath & Cove Summer Gala and the annual Flower Show.

From a friendly kickabout to a community celebration, the football fields offer a wonderful open space where residents can come together, stay active and enjoy village life.

Together, the playpark and football fields provide fantastic facilities right in the heart of Cockburnspath. They encourage outdoor play, physical activity and social connections, while offering a place for families, friends and community groups to spend time together.

We are delighted to have these facilities available for our community and look forward to seeing them enjoyed for many years to come.
